A Lifeguard Staff That Goes The Extra Mile
Roseland Waterpark lifeguards are much more than just lifeguards. They are professional guards licensed by Ellis & Associates for one year. Guards go through a 25 hour course in which they are drilled on lifesaving techniques. Each year the best waterparks in the world compete in a regional competition against other parks teams. The northeast has about 20 to 30 teams compete each year.
The first year that Roseland sent a team was in 2002, that team placed second in the Northeastern Region of the US. They went to California to compete in the World Championships and placed 13th! In 2003 and 2004, the Roseland team placed 4th and 8th respectively in the northeast.
In 2003, Roseland Waterpark Lifeguards received a platinum award from Ellis and Associates for their professionalism and performance in lifesaving scenarios. The platinum award is given to facilities that score in the top 5% of those audited. This is no easy task and Roseland has epitomized what it is to be the best in safety and attention to guests. When you come to Roseland, you can rest assured that we will have your safety on the top of our minds, so the biggest worry you have is which attraction to go to next!
